Qargha Reservoir, Afghanistan (Band Qargha)


Bande Qargha is a reservoir and a popular picnic place at Qargha near Kabul, in Afghanistan. The reservoir and its peripheral areas provide for recreation facilities such as boating, surfing, golfing, etc. and has so many beautiful hotels where family and friends visits specially during weekend holidays.



In 1933, Qargha Reservoir and dam is built on the Paghman River. It is 1.68 kilometers in length and 30 meters in height. Qargha Reservoir is located approximately 9.3 miles (15 kilometers) to the west of Kabul.
